Grrrr....why am I still Steve?? I use the modded .jar so I can't really use MCpatcher....so what else can I do?

its not just you having that problem, sens 1.3 its happening to every 1 its a glitch they have, there working on getting it fix so you will get update when ever you log on to the minecraft game, i had a update today.
