So is Minecraft.net having an issue or something? For the past few days I've had the "connection timed out" message. I was on last night and this morning I was on for a few hours. Then I got kicked out and received a weird long message....wasn't able to read it all before it closed. Was saying something about that there was no more memory, wish I got a screen shot of it. And after that message, I'm getting the "connection timed out" message again and can't log in. So not sure what the deal is..or if there is anything I can do about? Thanks, Kia |

I have 12GB of RAM, which is plenty of memory. So its not me. -.- Through the grape vine, it is Minecraft.net that is having issues and are being overwelmed. Not sure if is because of spring break and got overloaded, but if it happens now...whats going to happen when summer gets here. Hope they view this as a trial run for the increase of activity. Are you by any chance using 32bit java? The maximum amount of memory any 32 bit application can use is 2gb, for the current versions of mc it's somewhat easy for it to use 2+ gb of ram. |

Yea, I did have the 32bit Java at first, which doesn't make much sense to me, since my computer OS is 64 (this Java came with it). I noticed it in MC in the options about the render distance the first time I logged in. But I downloaded the 64bit right after and got the error messages the next day. Thats why I wasn't sure what was going on. Thought it was me, but it wasn't. ![]() |
