Where is everyone? I know 1.8 is out, but the server is still up! Did everyone move to a 1.8 server or did they update and not know how to roll back to the previous version?

Hey Gorath, Yea I updated to 1.8, but I cant get my minecraft to roll back to the old one, so I'm just waiting for the server to update. I figured the others probable did the same thing. As soon as it is 1.8 i'll be back in. Sorry your by yourself there but I still check the forum to see whats up on the update.Cya soon, Kia |

Weeellll... If people are still having trouble and don't mind a little file swapping, I can give out my minecraft-1.7.3 file and explain how to utilize it. Eventually it will be a 1.8 server, so why not continue playing there?  EDIT: this is my minecraft-1.7.3.jar. Download the file. With Vista, hit the Windows start button and type %appdata% in the search field at the bottom, then go to .minecraft folder. (I imagine using the search function in other versions of windows will yield similar results.) Place the .jar file I have given in the bin folder. When you start Minecraft, it will ask if you would like to update, say not now. This should be all it takes to get yourself back on the server until Cartman has it updated to 1.8. |

Would love to be back on the server lol I had just started a quarry! arg LOL. Oh well. Well I tried to download Cartman's file and your file and when I go to open it, I get the same error msg. "Failed to load main-class manifest attribute from"...the file i tried to open So have no clue why it wont work, maybe I'll google the error message and see what I find. Anyway, thanks for trying. Are you trying to open it directly? you use the launcher to run the older version of the jar file, it shouldn't have any problems running if you use the launcher to run the game. |

The file does not need to be opened. The game itself will handle that. All you are required to do is download the file, then copy it. Find the .minecraft folder in %appdata% and get to the bin folder within that folder. Paste the .jar file and say yes when it asks if you want to replace the current file. (if it asks that.) Then run the game! That is all you have to do. Remember, don't try to open it. Just copy/paste into the bin folder and run the game

Just hope you know: giving out copies of Minecraft, even if it's an old version and is for someone who already has paid for it, is highly illegal. |

Yes I know that, it's the only way to play on the server if you happened to update to the new version before the server was. I delete the attachments off of the forum for it once I update my server. Also you can't really play the game in MP with the file you dl'ed if you don't have a registered MC account to log into to, where you bought the game. |

They were allowing sites to distribute a "leaked" pre-release of 1.8. I'm honestly not concerned in the slightest of any legal ramifications. However, if Cartman is concerned about me sharing my older version of my .jar file, I will stop...even though what he says is true. Without paying, you won't play multiplayer. |

I can pretty easily delete your url once the servers are updated so it doesn't really matter. |

You know that is just to funny. I was just able to get on the server on 1.7 yesterday and now its updated! LOL Thanks! Kia (and next update (9.1) i wont update UNTIL you do! )
