Anyone else hate anime? I can't stant it, little bit to girly for me. now before you come across the question do I hate it because its in chinease or japanese? The answer is no, im not racist. Like I said I jsut dont like the hole concept

yes, probably. They have quite a few different types of anime, your sister probably watches shoujo type(anime for girls). |

Well yes most anime is "girly" usually about some romance and shit. But there are a lot about killing people and some can get pretty gory. I only watch a few anime like bleach and some others that the names I can not spell or pronounce that are pretty gory and mostly about killing one another. But usually all anime has some sort of romace shit in it, so usually if its an anime you in for some romance shit with some unlikeable characters that you really don't care about. I could rant on more but eh. |

Lumping all "anime" into one group is kind of like saying "Hey, do you like American cartoons?"  Until I actually looked it up, I used to assume "anime" was referring to that cutesy huge-eyed "everyone's always happy" style of animation. Turns out, when I was a kid one of my favorite cartoons was actually a Japanese anime cartoon series (dubbed in English). It was "Star Blazers" by the way. Look it up, probably not that great by today's standards, but still entertaining. (and yeah, I think one of the main characters had a love interest, but it was far from being a "romantic cartoon") |

I loved that cartoon when I was younger and still think its awesome. |

yeah, I think quite a few people liked watching DBZ, I remember it being a pretty popular anime when I was in middle school back in the late 90's. |

Heh, yeah, I remember watching DBZ it was fun. But when I was watching it I didnt know all about anime and shit. I just watched it for fun. Oh yeah, I dont like american cartoons. |

Oh wow - I looked up some info on Star Blazers and apparently, it's credited with helping to kick off the whole anime craze in the US back in the late 70's/early 80's. And thanks to the internet, I'm able to relive my childhood through cartoons  (yes, I am that old) It's funny to find out it wasn't really a kids show originally and certain scenes were cut from the American version - for example: a female crew-member's clothes would temporarily disappear during space warps; and the robot would occasionally grope her and lift up her skirt "accidently"

His probable only experience with anime is with naurto and the damn hentai then we've seen before you banned porn from the server. There are some really good anime/manga out there, like Get Backers, that was fucking awesome. |
