make sure they didn't get your email
cuase that would mean they won't be able to save it
unless you have an actual key from a cd copy of any steam game
just go to steam support and you should be able to get it back

my real life friends are the only ones that know my email (not including people that own websites i might have registered on) and since i had my steam account for a long time, so I don't really know if my steam account uses my actual email.
